Sunnyside's Make It For Mom 2023 Event
Looking for a gift to give Mom on Mother's Day?
Bring your Mom or Dad to the annual "Make It for Mom" kids event at Sunnyside Gardens where you'll design and plant a beautiful container garden to give to Mom on Mother's Day.
Sunnyside Gardens will help you plant it and then take care of it for you for the week, making sure it will grow big and beautiful!
Then all you have to do is come back to pick it up on Saturday May 13th or Sunday May 14th. (Earlier pick up also available).
There will be two options to choose from with their reservation window. Both days you can reserve your time frame of 10am-12pm or 1pm-3pm. Reservations are required to get an idea of the number of pots needed for this event.
Sunnyside Gardens will provide the pot, soil, plants, fun pick, and fertilizer! All you have to do is put it all together and we keep it watered for her! Then you have a beautiful pot all summer long!

Family Saturday at the the Tang Teaching and Art Gallery
Join the Tang Teaching and Art Gallery at Skidmore College on Saturday, April 15, at 2 pm, for Family Saturday: Decorating Frames! After viewing photographs in the Tang collection by artist Malick Sidibé, with painted glass frames by Checkna Touré, participants will take Polaroid pictures and create their own decorative frames.
Family Saturday programs foster multigenerational creative cooperation through looking at artwork, discussing it, and engaging in a hands-on art-making activity. Programs run from 2-3:30 pm and include a tour of selected works. All programs are free and open to the public, and suitable for children age 5 and older, accompanied by their adult companions. Join the Tang Teaching Museum and Art Gallery at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs on Saturday, April 1, at 2 pm, for Family Saturday: Painted Words! After viewing works in the Tang collection by legendary artist and designer Corita Kent (1918–1986), participants will be invited to create their own posters using stencils, stamps, paint, and more. Family Saturday: Signed Sculptures at the Tang Teaching Museum and Art Gallery 3/4
Join the Tang Teaching Museum and Art Gallery on Saturday, March 4, at 2 pm, for Family Saturday: Signed Sculptures! After viewing works by Christine Sun Kim, whose art engages with different modes of visual communication, participants will use construction-paper cutouts of their own hands to create American Sign Language (ASL) inspired sculptures.
Read more about the exhibition Christine Sun Kim: Oh Me Oh My, in which the artist, whose first language is ASL, challenges the notion that sound is a solely auditory experience.

The Saratoga Regional YMCA is offering Kids Night the first Saturday of the month at the Saratoga Springs Branch. Kids and Teens will be able to hang out with friends while parents and guardians have a worry-free Saturday night to themselves. Each Saturday, there will be a special activity such as dodgeball, scatter ball, basketball, etc. as well as use of the pool, track, MPR and cyber café. We encourage participants to bring a friend(s) with them. Pizza, Drinks, and snacks will be available for purchase. Each item will cost $1.00. American Sign Language for Kids at the Saratoga Springs Public Library
Join the Saratoga Springs Public Library for an introduction to American Sign Language. We will have ASL conversation practice, worksheet activities, and physical games to play using the American Sign Language (ASL) signs and fingerspelling practice.
